Welcome!

We are located in the heart of Franche-Comté, at the centre of the triangle: Burgundy, Champagne, Alsace.

Mid-way between the South of France and the Channel.

Less than 90 min drive from Switzerland & Southern Germany.

Our château, built in the Louis XIII style and listed by "Fondation du Patrimoine de France", is set in grounds of 6 hectares containing protected trees and varied wildlife, and is surrounded by rolling hills, communal forest and pastures. We often wake to the sound of church bells and the tap-tap of woodpeckers and we fall asleep to the song of nightingales.

The château has recently been entirely renovated and our guests can choose between two suites and three double rooms, all with private bathroom. Guests are also at liberty to use the sitting room, the dining room, where breakfast and table d'hôte dinner is served, the billiard room, and the home-cinema room (which can also be used for small seminars). Other facilities include a wine-tasting cellar, a steam-bath & gymnasium (Autumn 2007). Of course, our guests may also use the lawn tennis court or take a stroll around the park, orchard & vegetable garden. Pets are also welcome.

In good French tradition, meals for us are an important part of the day, for social intercourse as much as for enjoying the taste, smell, texture and colour of good home-produced food accompanied by excellent wines. As much as possible, we serve our own fruit and vegetables which are free of chemical treatment and our meat is from stock raised in local pastures. Alternatively, there are several good restaurants nearby.

For those who prefer greater independence, we also have a self-catering cottage available with two double bedrooms and the possibility of sleeping two more.

Whether you are seeking a base for a country holiday, a quiet spot to "get away" for a weekend or a comfortable location to break your journey, we will welcome you.
